2. Eligibility & Entry Requirements

2.1 The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.
2.2 Employees of the Promoter, their agents, agencies, associated companies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter. (This includes staff at Oddfellows Chester, Picturehouse Chester, and any companies involved in administering the competition.)
2.3 There is no purchase necessary to enter; entry is free.
2.4 By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

3. How to Enter

3.1 To enter the competition, participants must, during the competition period:

Follow both @OddfellowsChester and @PicturehouseChester on the relevant social platform(s);
and comment on the competition post with their favourite Christmas film.

3.2 Only entries that meet all the above criteria will be valid. Entries that do not comply will be disqualified.
3.3 Only comments on the original competition post will be accepted. Comments on shares or re-posts will not count.

4. Competition Period

4.1 The competition opens at 12:00 GMT on 28/11/2025 and closes at 12:00 GMT on 12/12/2025
4.2 No entries submitted after the closing time will be accepted.

5. Prize & Prize Validity

5.1 The prize (“Prize”) consists of:

A one-night stay for two people at Oddfellows Chester (room subject to availability, excluding blackout dates), valid for stays up to and including 31 January 2026.
Two cinema tickets for Picturehouse Chester (for a single cinema visit).
Popcorn and drinks for two at Picturehouse Chester on the cinema visit.

5.2 The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and there is no cash alternative. The Prize cannot be exchanged for another stay or benefit, except at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
5.3 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for an alternative of equal or greater value if for any reason the original Prize becomes unavailable (e.g. room availability, cinema scheduling) — at the Promoter’s sole discretion.

6. Winner Selection & Notification

6.1 The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries. The draw will take place live on Facebook at 5:00 PM on Friday 12 December 2025, via a “wheel-spin” or equivalent random selection tool. The competition is a chance-based Prize Draw, not a skill-based competition.
6.2 The draw is final and binding. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into.
6.3 The winner will be notified publicly (in the Facebook Live draw and via social media). The winner must contact Oddfellows Chester within 14 days of notification to claim the prize. If the winner fails to make contact in this time, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Prize and select a replacement winner.

7. Claiming the Prize & Dates

7.1 Once contacted, the winners must confirm acceptance and arrange with Promoter to book their stay at Oddfellows Chester. The stay must occur on or before 31 January 2026, subject to room availability and blackout dates.
7.2 Cinema tickets will be valid for one screening at Picturehouse Chester (date to be mutually agreed between winner and Promoter) during the normal operating schedule.
7.3 The Promoter is not liable if room availability or cinema scheduling constraints prevent fulfilling the Prize — but will offer a suitable alternative of equivalent value wherever possible.

8. Data, Privacy & Publicity

8.1 No personal data beyond the social media handle(s) used for entry will be collected. No separate mailing list sign-up or personal details (address, email, etc.) are required to enter or claim the Prize.
8.2 By entering, all participants agree that if they win, their social media name/handle (and first name and county at least) may be published by the Promoter for publicity and marketing purposes (e.g. announcement posts, story resharing).
8.3 The competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram (or any other social media platform used). By entering, you acknowledge that you provide your entry to the Promoter and not the social media platform.

9. General Conditions & Disqualification

9.1 The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, amend, or suspend the competition (or these Terms & Conditions) at any time — e.g. in the event of catastrophe, unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside its control — without prior notice. No liability will be accepted in such circumstances.
9.2 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose entry is incomplete, illegible, or fails to meet these T&Cs, or who has acted fraudulently or in a way that brings the Promoter or the promotion into disrepute.
9.3 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not received or not delivered for any reason (e.g. account settings, platform errors, user error).

10. Legal Jurisdiction

10.1 The competition and these Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with this competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Acceptance of Terms
